hi Ana, you’ve been there, done that, won it, why do it again and again and again? put your energies into your hubby and new wedded bliss life!!!! you have an awesome body – you dont need to push it to the limits. i remember your food coach was Erik, i was with him for a short while too. did you seriously do no cardio at all? (apart from getting cardio from the weight lifting). what % of bodyfat did you lose? im asking you this coz i hate cardio coz of my bad back/pelvis and am wondering whether to persevere with just weights and nutrition to lean down. thanks ana xx

I agree with Kristina… Competing it’s definitely very hard to balance specially when you have a family. If it’s your passion then yeah, go for it. I love setting goals and achieving them but we also must be realistic and know when to go forward and when to step back for a little bit. Heck, these days ladies compete in their 50′s so we have some time if we decide to do it again.

P.S. We should do lunch one of these days!

Hi Amanda!!! Thanks for your comment! I’m definitely enjoying the married life and I really want to enjoy the moment. We should learn to be just still for a while without having to look for the next shinny star.

I forgot you were with Erik! You’re right! yes, I literally didn’t do any cardio except the last week right before the show. I only did two cardio sessions and that’s it! I HATE cardio too and I’m glad my body responded well. I was very compliant with my diet though and didn’t leave any room for errors. It’s definitely doable to get lean without cardio for most women but your diet must be on track. I have no idea what bodyfat I lost. I never measured it. But I did lose about 18 lbs stating March to my show date – mid July.

It’s very doable Amanda!!
